How to Renew Your Annual Registration

The format for paying your annual registration has improved. Please read this document on how to renew your registration carefully.

Paying your 2021 Registration Fee Online

Please note that, if you have an email address registered with us you will receive an email containing:

  1. Your 2021 registration invoice
  2. Your personal Link to complete the payment online
  3. A copy of the Safe Electric Rules of Registration
  4. A Link to the CRU Criteria Document

By paying your annual registration fee online, you will be automatically entered into a draw to win 1 of 2 Megger MET 1000 True RMS Testers. (This competition is separate to the one that concluded on the 20th Nov. 2020). Please click here to complete your payment online, for this you will need your Registration number & Invoice number or alternatively, follow the personal link issued to you via email.

Paying by Phone

(hotline available from 12pm Friday 4th December)

If you do not have an email address registered with us, you will receive a letter in the next few days. The letter will contain:

  1. Your 2021 registration renewal invoice
  2. A copy of the Safe Electric Rules of Registration
  3. Guidelines on how complete payment

A text message including your invoice number will be communicated to each Registered Electrical Contractor. If you do not receive this please Email reciinfo@reci.ie and update your mobile number. If you wish to pay by phone, please contact the dedicated registration payment hotline 01 499 7982.

Please DO NOT contact our normal hotline number (01 499 2996) as these calls are forwarded to our call centre and they are UNABLE TO PROCESS PAYMENTS

Other methods of payment

There are alternative methods by which you can renew your registration:

  1. Bank Transfer (please email reciinfo@reci.ie to obtain the details)
  2. Postal Order
  3. By Cheque (please make out cheques to R.E.C.I and not Safe Electric)

Safe Electric ID Cards

The format for issuing Safe Electric registration cards (ID Cards) has also changed. Printing of ID cards will start on the 6th of January 2021. Due to technical reasons, we cannot print and issue new ID cards in December.

All ID cards related to Registration fees received before the 6th of January 2021 will be printed and issued within 7 working days of the 6th of January. Likewise, all new registration fees received thereafter will also be  issued within 7 working days.

Payment deadline

Safe Electric would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the excellent contribution to electrical safety from all RECs in these challenging times. We thank you for your valued support and commitment to the Scheme.

The deadline for paying the annual registration fee is 31st January 2021.

Please make sure that you provide your payment by the deadline, otherwise your registration will be suspended temporarily until the registration fee is paid.

By paying and renewing your registration, you agree to the Safe Electric Rules of Registration.
