Welcome Message: Operation of the Safe Electric and Registered Gas Installer (RGI) Schemes Update 

Appointment of New SSB

Following the CRU’s announcement in September 2022 of the new appointed SSB, Safe Energy Ireland, fully owned by SGS Ireland Limited, to operate the Safe Electric and RGI schemes, we would now like to confirm operation of these schemes by Safe Energy Ireland has commenced as of 8.30a.m. on 3rd January 2023.

From this date the SSB now trades under the new name of ‘Safe Energy Ireland’. These arrangements will be in place for a period of 5 years with two possible extensions of 1 year each.  Safe Energy Ireland will continue to operate the schemes under the Safe Electric and RGI brands.
