We are excited to announce that a new Electronic Certification System (ECS) will soon be available for the Safe Electric scheme. This system is designed to streamline and modernise how certificates are ordered and managed, replacing the current processes and bringing substantial improvements in efficiency, accuracy, and ease of use.
The new ECS will streamline the certification processes for electrical works, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards under the Electricity Regulation Act 1999. By transitioning to a fully electronic system, we aim to reduce administrative burdens and enhance data accuracy, providing a smoother and more efficient experience for all users. Customers will benefit from the receipt of a clear digital completion certificate.
The ECS will be available through the Safe Electric website, with specific links and logins provided to ensure a tailored experience based on each user’s role. The system will also enhance data control and user management, making it easier to manage certification needs.
Key Benefits of the ECS:
- Unified System: The ECS will consolidate all certificate purchases and certificate processing into a single, user-friendly platform. This change will phase out paper certificates, reducing administrative tasks and enhancing data accuracy.
- Enhanced Access: Users will access the ECS through specific links from the Safe Electric website, with tailored experiences based on their roles, ensuring seamless integration into their daily operations.
What’s Next?
In the coming months, we will be rolling out the ECS to all Registered Electrical Contractors (RECs). Comprehensive training materials and continuous updates will be provided to facilitate a smooth transition. Our goal is to make the ECS as accessible and user-friendly as possible, ultimately enhancing the certification processes for everyone involved.
Stay tuned for more updates!
