Safe Electric is preparing to launch the new Electronic Certification System (ECS) — a modern platform that will replace the current Electronic Completion Certificate (ECC) system.
To support a smooth transition, we are informing all Registered Electrical Contractors (RECs) that once ECS goes live, top-ups on ECC will be disabled.
However, the ECC system will remain accessible until the end of the year so you can:
- Use any remaining ECC credit
- Complete post-connections or finalise ongoing work
- Prepare for full adoption of ECS
Additionally, should you wish to migrate to the new platform early, you will be able to request a transfer of credit to the new ECS platform and receive a refund of any remaining balance.
📅 Important Dates:
- (TBC) ECS soft launch begins
- December 31, 2025: Deadline to use ECC credits
- Early next year: ECC will be discontinued
