During cross checking and validating the most up to date members register, it has come to notice that ballot papers have been issued in error to several ineligible voters.
This error has the potential of compromising the outcome of the ballot.
The accuracy of the electoral register/voters list used in conducting a ballot is crucial for the integrity of the voting process.
For the avoidance of any doubt about the integrity of the ballot process, it is decided to cancel the current ballot and to rerun a new ballot between the two nominated candidates for the Ulster/Leinster region.
The ballot papers that have been returned to date will not be opened or counted.
